HYGEN ("we", "us") provides hygiene, cleaning, waste management, and facility solutions. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, why we collect it, and how we protect it — including when you contact us or apply to join our cleaning crew.

Information we collect

Contact form: your name and email, and whatever you tell us in your message.

Crew applications: your full legal name, email, phone, address history, date of birth, a photo of you, a copy of your government-issued ID, and optionally a CV or cover letter. We also record your explicit consent to a background check, which we collect before any check is performed.

How we use your information

Contact form submissions are used to respond to your question or request. Application information is used to evaluate your application, conduct the background check you consented to, and — if you're hired — to set up your staff record with us. We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.

How we store and protect it

Your information is stored with Supabase, our database and file storage provider. Photos, ID documents, and CVs are kept in a private storage location that is never publicly accessible — there is no public link to any applicant's documents. Only authenticated HYGEN administrators can view this information, and every access to a document is through a temporary, expiring link generated on request rather than a permanent public URL.

Who can access your data

Access is limited to HYGEN administrators who need it to review applications or respond to your message. We do not share your information with third parties except service providers that help us operate (such as our email provider, used only to send you emails related to your own application).

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as it's useful for the purpose you provided it — for example, for the duration of an application and, if hired, your time with HYGEN. You can ask us to delete your information at any time using the contact details below.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To do any of these, contact us using the details below and we'll respond as soon as we can.

Cookies

Our public website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Our admin system uses a session cookie solely to keep administrators signed in — this is not used to track visitors to our public site.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as HYGEN grows. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do.
